That's what we call our sweet Rachael a lot of the time. It's so funny to watch our brash and boisterous Sethy perk up when he hears her wake up from a nap and rush in to climb up on the bed with her and say in a sweet little sing-song voice, "Oh, hellooo, little girl-a! Hello, sweet little itty-bitty-itty-bitty girl-a!" There is no other person on earth for whom he would use this tone of voice! She's definitely bringing out a side of him that I didn't know existed!
The above picture is about 2-1/2 months old. She's due for her 9-month photos ALREADY! This was (what I call) her 6-month photo. She was acutally about 6-1/2 months old when it was taken because we went camping on her 6-month birthday and she got a lovely mosquito bite on her face. But she's beautiful and charming and wonderful. I hope she's as perfect as I was through my teen years! (My mom agrees with me on that point, I'll have you know!)
I thought life was supposed to calm down after the holidays. It hasn't yet. Maybe in another 18 years or so.... But by then, I'll be wondering where the time went! Maybe I'll write it down for posterity's sake....it went to running errands and keeping a functioning household for three lovely children and my wonderful husband! It's more than a full-time job! With NO pay!
Ethan has his Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts on Sunday. He's putting together a skateboard. If it ever gets painted, it should look really nice. He came in third place last year (for speed), so I'm hoping he does well again this year. It's really a good time!
By the way...I've determined that putting my Christmas list on my blog was entirely successful. Not only did I not get ANY bath and body items, I actually got nice stuff that I wanted! I highly recommend it to all of you who do blogs.
So, these are my random thoughts for the day. More to come...some other day.
