They're doing it on purpose!

My boys are trying to force me into insanity! I know they are and I know it's intentional! It was about three nights ago when I realized this. It was time for the ol' get-to-bed routine. Every parent's favorite part of the day. Suddenly, there is so much they need to do!

So here's how it went.

"Guys, time to get ready for bed."

piddle...piddle....piddle....roll around play-fighting on the kitchen floor...holler...giggle

"Guys, come get your vitamins, get your jammies on, blah-blah-blah....Can't you just pretend I've said it all? You know the routine. We do it every night. Let's just pretend I've said it and go ahead and do it."

And they did. They got ready for bed.

They know they're making me nuts and they're enjoying the slow demise of Mommy. They're watching--those peering, devious little eyes--waiting expectantly to see how long it takes to make Mommy a little puddle of flesh and bone huddled up in the corner of the dining room, sucking my thumb and muttering incoherently about my past glory. It's happening...it's happening.



I love my kids! They're little angels!
