My sweet Ethan
Here's a letter Ethan wrote to Emeril Lagasse. He actually wrote it last September (of '05) but I changed the date on it because it's taken me this long to get around to sending it. He wants Emeril to come help him decorate a birthday cake for his Mommy. Isn't that the sweetest? I'm sure it would be really yummy, too. I think a little Emeril episode of "Take Home Chef" is in order for my kitchen. That would be the coolest! Hey, a girl can dream!
Even if I don't get a birthday cake from Emeril, I at least have the sweetest seven-year-old on the planet for a son.
(Wait until my next post to find out a funny story about his little brother.)

(PS: The text of Ethan's letter is hard to read. It says: "Dear Emeril, Will you come to my house? I need your help to make my mom a cake. Her birthday is Nov. 17. Sincerely, Ethan Laney")

Time for a SETH update - I kind of thought I'd hear it this weekend. I so enjoyed this weekend - nice rest time - however how did the time go so Quickly - no canoe - no nature walk. But I don't think I would have given up anything for them so!
What a sweetie boy! Can I come have a pice of cake if Emeril comes to help make it?
Funny! We have an 8 year-old Ethan Laney too! And here's a picture of him decorating his mom's birthday cake last month: http://ethansdad.shutterfly.com (I'm sure Emeril would be impressed...er...well...maybe.) We live outside Chicago.
